About the Institute

Republican Design Institute UzEngineering LLC started its history in 2006. By the Executive Order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-377 dd. 13.06.2006, the Uzbek State Institute of Design in Power Engineering, Oil and Gas Processing, Chemical and Heavy Industry "Uztyazhneftegazkhimproekt" was established under the Ministry of Economy in order to strengthen the coordination of scientific-technical and design support of structural transformations carried out in the country, preparation at a high level and quality support of implementation of large investment projects on construction, reconstruction and modernization of enterprises of basic industries, which are important for sustainable and sustainable development of the country.

By the Executive Order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-2831 dd. 14.03.2017 The "Uztyazhneftegazkhimproekt" institute was reorganized into the "Republican Design Institute "UzEngineering" under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

Presidential Directive No. R-4917, dated April 25, 2017, approved the statute of the Institute, taking into account the requirements and assigned tasks. The Institute is staffed by highly qualified specialists with the necessary knowledge and practical experience, including in the field of development of feasibility studies/feasibility calculations of projects.

According to the Executive Order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PPP-3557 dd. 22.02.2018 "On measures on further improvement of design works and the system of training of design engineers in basic sectors of economy" the RDI "UzEngineering" is defined as an entity that carries out interaction between specialized higher educational institutions and design organizations on the issues of training of highly qualified design engineers.

In accordance with the Executive order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP -162 dated 19.04.2024 and the order of the Tashkent City Regional Department of the State Assets Management Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 95 dated 30.05.2024, the Institute was reorganized into "Republican Design Institute "UzEngineering" LLC (hereinafter referred to as "RDI UzEngineering").

RDI UzEngineering carries out its activity in the field of development of investment and infrastructure projects, pre-design and design documentation in accordance with the contracts concluded with the client companies of the basic sectors of the economy and domestic or foreign private companies.

RDI UzEngineering develops and adapts ¬feasibility studies and calculations (FS/FC) of investment and infrastructure projects and design documentation (detailed design) for the basic sectors of the economy, such as fuel and energy sector, chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical and other industries, and provides technical support for projects.

RDI UzEngineering core operations are:

  • Development of pre-design and design documentation, including feasibility studies/feasibility calculations of projects, adaptation of pre-design documentation developed by foreign engineering companies to the codes, technical regulations and standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

  • Technical support of projects, carrying out and supporting together with the initiators of project tender processes (in the part related to the engineering scope).

  • Introduction of progressive methods of design work based on advanced foreign experience and with the involvement of foreign design and engineering companies.

  • Enhancement of independent development of design documentation for investment projects, and adaptation of design documentation developed by foreign engineering companies.

  • Involvement of domestic and foreign specialized engineering companies and leading specialists as subcontractors in the development of pre-design and design documentation for investment projects.

  • In-depth analysis of the world market of advanced technologies and equipment that meet modern requirements for productivity and quality of manufactured products, energy and resource saving, and environmental standards, with the exception of import to Uzbekistan of unpromising, morally and physically obsolete equipment and technologies.

  • Selection of the most advanced high-tech, energy-efficient equipment and technologies for use in the design process.

  • Close cooperation with industry technical and research councils in terms of development and approval of pre-design and design documentation.

  • Creation and constant updating of the information and analytical database on modern equipment and technologies produced abroad, their technical, production and economic characteristics, level of efficiency and degree of practical testing, as well as on the main foreign manufacturers and suppliers of high-tech equipment, developers and licensors of technologies related to the core business.

  • Gathering and consolidation of information on proposals of foreign investors and companies for construction, reconstruction and modernization of industrial enterprises and participation in development of proposals for implementation of new investment projects focused on production of competitive finished and semi-finished industrial products in demand on the world and domestic markets by processing of local raw materials.

  • Independent technical and economic expertise of investment projects commissioned by ministries, departments and economic management bodies.
