On May 02–16, 2023, a series of trainings on industrial and system engineering were held at TASU, Turin Polytechnic University, TSTU, KIMYO. The training was conducted by Azim Houshyar, an expert from the USA. A total of 11 trainings were held.
In the course of lectures and seminars, the expert brought to the audience such topics as:
- Planning / design of facilities;
- Using traditional equipment arrangement planning to optimize layout;
- Using Layout Optimization Software;
- Design of warehouse / distribution center;
- Using modeling software to evaluate alternative designs;
- Determining the optimal location for a new facility;
- Reliability and maintainability of equipment;
- The impact of life cycle costs on the acquisition of a new facility/equipment.
